Chord Calculus Lite 2.07

Chord Calculus Lite serves as a basic version of Chord Calculus, aimed at players of fretted instruments. This tool enables users to select from a limited selection of pre-defined fretted instruments across various tunings. While it does provide the option to define new instruments and tunings, certain features are restricted in this Lite version.

Notably, users will find that the Lite version offers a constrained variety of instruments and does not permit the saving of new instruments, progressions, or configurations. Furthermore, iCloud syncing between devices is unavailable.

The interface allows users to choose from four distinct operating modes via segmented selectors located at the top center of the display:

• (C)hord Calculator: Displays all fingerings for chords corresponding to a selected instrument and tuning, along with filters, capo options, and fret spans.
• Chord (I)dentifer: For a given instrument and fingering, it shows all possible names associated with a chord.
• (S)cale Display: Presents the scale based on the chosen instrument, tuning, key, and scale type, and allows playback of a two-octave scale.
• (P)rogression Player: Building on the chord mode, it displays fingerings for a chord progression and plays the chords in sequence.

In every mode, chords can be played as full chords or arpeggios, and scales can also be played back for an interactive experience.
